Good Prices - Perishables
I’m going to be posting a series of what I consider to be good prices, after sales and coupons. I’m going to start with perishables, which includes produce, meat, and dairy. Of course, the thing with produce is that you often still need to buy it regardless of price, and coupons are rare.
These prices are from Maryland, NE of Baltimore.
Meat
- Boneless chicken breasts - $1.99/lb
- Ground beef - $1.99/lb to $2.30/lb
- Sausage (4pk) - $1.50
Dairy
- Shredded cheese - $0.99
- Sour cream (16oz) - $0.50
- Half and half (1 qt) - $1.99
- Butter (1lb) - < $2
- Yogurt (~6oz cup) - $0.30
- Milk (half gallon) - < $2
Produce
- Orange juice (64oz) - < $2
- Apples - $0.99/lb
- Bananas - $0.49/lb
- Broccoli - $0.99/lb
- Grapes - $0.99/lb
- Potatoes - $0.40/lb
- Clementines - $5/box
- Carrots (baby) - $1/lb
